A microscope is an essential tool for science, and discovering a world that we cannot see. Microscopes magnify a cell, for example, so the individual can see the microscopic components of the object. A microscope has several parts, two (2) of which are the objective lens and the ocular lens, also known as the eyepiece. The ocular lens, or the eyepiece, is the piece that the individual looks through. The objective lens is the piece that is near the object being observed through the microscope (Medical, 2016). Microscopes can hold several objective lens’ at a time, which makes it easier to quickly switch back and forth between strengths of the lens’. Multiple objective lens’ is possible when there is a turret holding them all together (Medical, 2016).

Microscope objectives are a very important piece of a microscope. These lens’ determine the degree of excellence that the microscope is able to produce for the observer. They also play an imperative role to how the image is formed (Microscope, 2018). When observing an object through a microscope, the individual wants the most precise detail and the best quality experience one can receive. Having a pristine quality objective lens can enhance the observers experience and allow the individual to see a whole new world that could not be seen otherwise.

When an individual looks through a microscope to observe a variety of objects, one expects a certain level of quality and sharpness to their images. Looking through a poor quality microscope can diminish ones observing and learning experience. Like most machines, microscopes have several parts in which it is made up. Each part can be of undesirable quality or of outstanding quality. Choosing the right quality level, especially of objective lens’, makes a world of a difference.
